Algorand Foundation Partners with UoPeople to Provide Scholarships for Minority Students
The foundation, in partnership with UoPeople, will provide 10 scholarships for students from underrepresented minorities or developing nations
PASADENA, CA (February 14, 2022) 鈥 The Algorand Foundation is partnering with SA国际传媒 (UoPeople) to provide 10 scholarships for students from underrepresented minorities or developing nations.
鈥淯NESCO estimates that by the year 2025, there will be nearly 100 million young people unable to find seats in traditional universities,鈥 emphasizes President of UoPeople Shai Reshef. 鈥淲e believe that access to higher education is a basic right which promotes world peace and global economic development.鈥 The university currently enrolls more than 117,000 students enrolled from over 200 countries and territories. More than 10,500 of these students are refugees. 鈥淭he Algorand Foundation scholarships will be tremendously helpful to support our students with achieving their educational goals,鈥 adds Reshef.
